Roselyne Bosch worked closely with Nazi hunter Serge Klarsfeld to produce a film which would provide a film which would capture as much of the story of the Rafle du Vel' d'Hiver as possible.

In order to help make the account as authentic as possible two survivors, Joseph Weismann and Anna Traube and their families provide the focus for the film and their stories are interwoven to provide dramatic interest.

The cycle track and the internment camp at Beaune le Rolande were reconstructed in Hungary and provide a harrowingly accurate background for the events of 1942 which saw 13 000 men, women and children taken by the French police.
